Italian favourites to suit all palettes
Our olives and pickles are the perfect additions to any antipasti platter, and they work best when paired with ingredients that are simple yet delicious; think quality extra virgin olive oil, a dash of oregano, and perhaps a smattering of chilli flakes if you’re feeling more adventurous!
Fratelli Burgio have been producing excellent preserves from the Sicilian coastline for over 40 years. As a company steeped in tradition, this supplier still uses recipes that have been passed down to local families for generations. Our picks of their amazing jars are the Cipolla in Agrodolce – sweet and sour onions, great with a good piece of focaccia – and a few slices of Pistachio Salami; and the Sicilian classic Caponata, which is great as a sauce atop some delicious sea bass or served simply on its own with a drizzle of olive oil.
Ever since the Romans started preserving anchovies, they have been a staple on the Italian table. Gastronomica brings you the finest anchovies in extra virgin olive oil. Salted and marinated, they are delicious served straight on a salad or through a spaghetti with capers and red peppers. We also provide anchovies fillets. Both products are sourced from Callipo and packed and produced in Sicily.
