Setting Up Your Online Account

When Setting up your Online Account you will be requested to provide your updated contact details.

You must be over 18 to set up an online shopping account with us.

You must have a delivery address within our delivery area (please check our Delivery Section);

You must have a valid debit/credit card, PayPal account in your name, attached to your online shopping account.

You must keep your username and password safe. You will be responsible for all activities and orders made under this username and password.

You must agree to these terms and conditions in their entirety to shop online with us.

It is your responsibility to maintain the confidentiality of your account information. Gastronomica shall not be liable to any person for any loss or damage which may arise as a result of any failure by you to protect your password or account.

Should you become aware of or suspect any unauthorised use of your password or account, please contact us. If Gastronomica is suspicious of any fraudulent activity coming from your account, it can reserve the right to refuse you access to your account and can delete the account.

Placing Your Order

When browsing our website, the prices shown will be the prices available for next day delivery. Once you have logged in, picked your products, and selected your delivery date, the prices displayed at checkout will be the prices you will be charged. Where applicable, prices shown will include Value Added Tax It is always possible that, despite our best efforts, some pricing on our website may not be correct. We reserve the right to refuse to process any order placed on our website based on information that may contain errors or inaccuracies

The minimum order value for online orders is £25.00 plus any eventual delivery charges, as shown at checkout. The minimum order value is calculated after all discounts and promotional offers have been applied.

We do our best to ensure that we have a wide range of products available every day, but sometimes we run out of certain products. If we have run out of any products that you have ordered, you will not be charged.

You can cancel or amend your order at any time up to 12am the day before your order is due to be delivered. If you are unhappy with the quality of any of the products you receive, we will happily refund your money or replace the products.

Acceptance Of Your Order

Please note that completion of the online checkout process does not constitute our acceptance of your offer to purchase products or services from us. We will notify you by email as soon as possible to acknowledge that we have received and are processing your order. Our acceptance of your order will take place only when we take payment from you and despatch the product(s) or on commencement of the services that you ordered from us. Prior to despatch of the product(s), Gastronomica has the right to decline an order for any reason, including legal and regulatory reasons. The duration of our contract with you will start from when you receive the order despatch email and last until the last day of your right to return the products.

Age Restricted Products

Age restrictions apply in the UK to the purchase of alcohol. By law, we are permitted to supply alcohol only to individuals aged 18 and over. If you are underage you must not attempt to purchase alcohol for the Website. We might use age verification checks at the point of delivery by ensuring that delivery drivers request valid proof of age to confirm that the purchaser is over the minimum age of 18 to buy the product in question.


During the checkout process, you will be asked to enter your payment details and we will carry out an immediate pre-authorisation check on your payment card.

Where you are using either credit or debit card, by completing your payment details you confirm that the credit or debit card being used is yours. All fields indicated as compulsory must be completed. All card payments are subject to authorisation by your card issuer. If we are unable to process your pre-authorisation card payment on the date of placing your order, your order will not be placed. If we are unable to process your amended order pre-authorisation payment, then the amendments will not be made to the order.


Delivery charges and timescales vary depending on the type of products ordered, the service you select and the delivery address. You’ll find full details of our Delivery Section.

Please note that certain products and services may be subject to alternative delivery charges, restrictions and/or timescales.

Cancellations, Returns And Refunds

You can cancel your order up to the day of despatch and a full refund will be issued to you.

It is our policy to supply our goods in perfect conditions. If the goods been damaged in transit, we will exchange the damaged goods without a charge provided that you immediately notify the courier and the Company by email. Please return the damaged good to us within 7 days of taking the delivery.

If you are not fully satisfied with the goods, you could return the goods within 7 days provided that they are unused, in the same condition you received them and in the original packaging. You must first notify us via email. Once we receive the goods, we will exchange or refund the goods.

Our Liability

We will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or damage, or loss of profits, or reliance you may have had in having the products or your order delivered to you, which arises out of any failure by us to supply the products or your order to you.

Unrestricted by law: Nothing in these terms and conditions will restrict our liability for death or personal injury resulting from our acts or omissions, breach of contract, or breach of statutory duty.

Statutory rights: Nothing in these terms and conditions will restrict any of your statutory rights.

Force majeure: We will not be deemed to be in breach of contract or of these terms and conditions as a result of any delay in our performance or failure to perform our obligations if that delay or failure to perform is due to any cause or circumstance beyond our reasonable control including, but not limited to, fire, flood and other acts of God, strikes, riot, accident, disruption to energy supplies, civil commotion, acts of terrorism or war, breakdown of equipment and road traffic problems.

Maximum liability: Other than as set out above, our maximum liability arising out of any order for the supply of products to you will be limited to the price of the products contained in that order.

Other Important Terms

Assignment: We may transfer our rights and obligations under any order to another organisation, but that will not affect your rights or obligations.

Severance: Each of the paragraphs of these terms and conditions operate separately. If any court or relevant authority decides that any of them are unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining paragraphs will remain in full force and effect.

Waiver: If we do not insist that you perform any of your obligations, or we do not enforce our rights against you or delay in doing so, that will not mean that all our rights are waived. Any waiver by us will be confirmed in writing and will not mean that we waive rights on an ongoing basis.

Jurisdiction: These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales and the courts of same shall have non-exclusive jurisdiction in respect of any disputes arising.

Disputes Any matter that arises out of your use of this Website (including any contract entered between you and us through the Website) shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. All contracts shall be concluded in English.
