The Müller Thurgau variety, also known as Rivaner or Riesling X Sylvaner, is a cross between Riesling and Madeleine Royal. It was developed in 1882 by Professor Müller from the Swiss canton of Thurgau.
This South Tyrolean wine with a strong character is a bright yellow wine characterized by a fresh green sheen. On the nose, it exudes a predominantly herbaceous and spicy bouquet: spicy notes of nutmeg meet lemongrass and aromatic herbs. On the palate this white wine stands out for its finesse and a perfectly integrated acidity that gives it verve and panache.
