Sun-dried tomatoes are dried in the sun to remove most of their water content. Salt is added to sliced tomatoes before being laid out in the summer sun to dry. This helps to retain the colour of the tomatoes and makes them look more appealing. Made of tomatoes carefully selected and seasoned with sunflower oil, garlic, capers and chilli for a sharp flavour.
